Tu Papi

Tu Papi

I'm Jan Wünsche, born and raised in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco — a land of raw hands, wild colors, and living craft. I grew up surrounded by the soul of Mexican folk art, by textures that speak and colors that scream. That fire carved its way into me. My work lives in that tension: between tradition and rebellion, between street grit and fine art. I paint, weld, burn, scratch, mix—if it doesn’t exist, I’ll make it up.

WunscheToday started as an online gallery, but it's more than that. It’s my visual lab, my design playground, my personal revolution. I’ve exhibited in Vienna, Lisbon, and Cancún. Painted walls, led workshops, designed tattoos, logos, merch. I work with oil, graphite, spray paint, varnish, digital tools—and I don’t limit myself to a single technique or format. I follow the idea, wherever it goes.

I speak five languages and blend them like I do with mediums. I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and NHL Stenden in the Netherlands, but the real education came from the streets, from messing up, from pushing boundaries until they crack.

This isn’t decoration.
This is a visual statement.
This is WunscheToday.
